INFINITI is teaming up with Microsoft to drive customer connections around the worldwide launch of Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 7.

INFINITI will take advantage of new consumer experiences, created by Microsoft Advertising, so the brand can connect with key audiences via new Windows Theme Experiences and the Windows 7 Desktop Theme Gallery. Windows 7 users will be able to personalize their desktop with INFINITI themes - distinguishing their PC’s appearance with a little of the automotive brand’s individuality.

According to IDC, up to 50 per cent of owners give their PCs the custom treatment, with many users constantly on the look-out for stylish new ways to keep their computer fresh and different.

The INFINITI-inspired backgrounds, slide shows and screen savers will be available in a special INFINITI Theme Pack, which Windows 7 users can download from the Windows 7 Desktop Theme Gallery at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=109286Opens in a new tab..

The link with Microsoft is an obvious one for INFINITI which views technology as an essential ingredient in the “modern luxury” appeal of its automobiles. INFINITI features such as Connectiviti – one of the motoring world’s most fully featured high-tech multimedia systems – is winning fans around the globe for its supreme ease of use.

Personalization is also a natural fit for a company that puts the emphasis on the individual rather than the masses through its award-winning customer service program, Total Ownership Experience. For people who don’t follow the herd, the INFINITI experience can now start as soon as they log on in the morning.

Windows 7 launched on 22 October, at more than 45,000 retailers worldwide in-store and online, and in 14 languages (English, Spanish, Japanese, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, CHS, CHT & CHT(HK). It will be available in other languages (Turkish, Czech, Portuguese, Hungarian, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Greek, Ukrainian, Romanian Arabic, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, Estonian, Slovenian, Hebrew, Thai, Croatian, Serbian Latin, Latvia) on 31 October.

INFINITI’s range of luxury performance sedans, coupés, convertibles and crossovers is sold in 35 countries around the world.

  • INFINITI comes from Japan. Its line-up of performance saloons, coupes, convertibles and crossovers is now being launched across Europe through a dedicated network of INFINITI Centres which share a commitment to individualised and exceptional customer service.
