INFINITI took the top down at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto today as Ontario auto fans got their first look at the new addition to its G Family of vehicles. The all-new 2009 G37 Convertible, retains the G Coupe’s long hood and graceful trunk proportions through use of a fully-automatic three-piece hardtop design. The powerful and efficient 325-horsepower, 3.7-litre V6 engine provides the INFINITI performance drivers love with the added enjoyment of driving with the top up, or down.
“As we get a little closer to summer in Canada, we’re excited to add the stunning new G37 Convertible to our already popular G Family,” said Wendy Durward, Director of INFINITI Dealer Operations. “This year-round vehicle offers the sleek style and performance you expect from a G, with a little something extra for those who like to experience the wind in their hair.”
The G Convertible’s inviting interior includes standard leather-appointed seating, Bose® Open Air Sound System and an Adaptive Dual Zone Climate Control System that adjusts fan speed in accordance to top position and vehicle speed. The new G37 Convertible will be available at INFINITI dealers later this spring.
In 2008, INFINITI sales in Canada increased 21 per cent over the previous year including a significant 167 per cent jump in sales in the Cross-over category.
