MONTREAL - In conjunction with the Montreal Grand Prix this weekend, INFINITI and the Red Bull Racing F1 team have several events planned to not only get fans excited about the race, but get them talking about INFINITI’s Inspired Performance. And INFINITI’s brand ambassador, two-time defending F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel, will make history in the process.
First, on Wednesday, June 6 a Red Bull skydiver will attempt to land in the back of an INFINITI G Convertible driven by Red Bull Racing F1 team driver Mark Webber. This is the second in the INFINITI “Inspired Performers” series, following Sebastian Vettel’s kung fu film in China. In addition, Webber will take selected media around the track circuit for hot laps in an INFINITI G Sedan.
Then, after the Grand Prix (where we hope Red Bull Racing will have podium finishes!), the team will travel to New Jersey, where Vettel will be the first F1 driver to complete a lap of the future course of the Grand Prix of America at Port Imperial. He will be driving a G Coupe from the INFINITI Performance Line. This location, which will have its inaugural race for June 2013, is a 3.2-mile course that runs on existing streets in Weehawken and West New York, along the Hudson River and at the top of the Palisades, with the New York City skyline as a backdrop. Both Vettel and former F1 driver David Coulthard will be taking media around the track in IPL G Coupes. Vettel will also make an appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Monday night.
