2023 INFINITI Q50 pricing starts at $45,195 MSRP
Mississauga, Ont. — Building on its athletic design and tailored interior, the 2023 INFINITI Q50 arrives in showrooms this month and starts at $45,195 MSRP.
“With finely crafted design, connected technology, and a driver-focused interior, the INFINITI Q50 continues to set a high bar within the luxury sedan realm,” said Steve Rhind, Managing Director, INFINITI Canada.
The 2023 INFINITI Q50 sedan continues its award-winning formula by combining a lean, athletic stance with a crafted, connected, and comfortable interior. The 2023 Q50 is available in five well-equipped grades: PURE, LUXE, Signature Edition, RED SPORT I-LINE, and RED SPORT I-LINE ProACTIVE. Each grade comes standard with INFINITI's Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. The Q50 Signature Edition trim offers an aggressive sporty design with 19-inch sport-design aluminum alloy wheels and a gloss black coloured trunk spoiler.
Every 2023 INFINITI Q50, including the PURE grade, includes standard Wireless Apple CarPlay® connectivity, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Forward Emergency Braking, Automatic Collision Notification and Emergency Call, Rain-sensing wipers, Auto-dimming inside mirror and LED fog lights.
The 2023 INFINITI Q50 LUXE grade is available with leather-appointed seats; power tilt and telescoping steering wheel; power-folding outside mirrors with reverse tilt-down; a dual- occupant memory system for the driver’s seat that remembers steering wheel, seat, and outside mirror position, linked to individual Intelligent Keys; driver’s seat power lumbar adjustment; and Bose® Performance Series audio. The LUXE grade also offers a suite of safety technology such as Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Backup Collision Intervention, Front and Rear Sonar Systems, and Intelligent Cruise Control with Full Speed Range.
Every 2023 INFINITI Q50 sedan is powered by a dynamic 3.0-litre twin-turbo V-6 that spins out 300 or up to 400 horsepower in Q50 RED SPORT I-LINE models. Paired to an advanced 7-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode and Downshift Rev Matching, the Q50's powerplant combines excellent drivability with efficiency and performance.
Performance and presentation
The 2023 INFINITI Q50's robust exterior begins with INFINITI's signature double-arch grille highlighted by chrome surrounds. A subtle, smooth character line rises from the grille and extends along the bodysides to create a fluid, dynamic profile everywhere the Q50 travels. "Human-eye" LED headlights on all grades are as captivating as they are illuminating, while slim combination LED taillights etch a distinctive signature at night.
The 2023 Q50 Signature Edition and RED SPORT I-LINE grades include a lower, angular front bumper that is visually potent and adds to the sedan's appeal. Inspired by INFINITI's zero-lift concept of aerodynamic efficiency, those Q50 grades are equipped with functional airfoils at the base of the front bumper.
Unique to Q50 RED SPORT I-LINE grades, dual exhaust tips with a brushed satin finish feature prominently at the rear and relay a sonorous exhaust note from its axle-back sport exhaust for a more powerful on-road presence.
The 2023 Q50 PURE is equipped with 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Q50 LUXE features attractive 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and Signature Edition and RED SPORT 400 grades pronounce the sedan's performance potential with 19-inch sport-design aluminum-alloy wheels.
Tailored interior, connectivity abounds
The 2023 INFINITI Q50 bristles with technology without sacrificing a craftsman's touch. The 2023 Q50 LUXE & Signature Edition grades offer leather-appointed seating surfaces for up to five inside, with available Graphite or Stone colour treatments. The 2023 Q50 RED SPORT I-LINE receives semi-aniline leather-appointed seats, brilliantly finished in Gallery White with Red stitching or Graphite with Red stitching.
The Q50 interior features INFINITI's hallmark zero-gravity spinal support seats that were carefully engineered to provide a consistent level of support and minimize pressure on lower and upper back muscles. Both the front and rear seats help distribute body pressure across a broader range of the upper seating surface. The roomy interior space offers ample front and rear headroom, generous rear knee room enhanced by the thin front seatback design, and wide- range front seat slide and lift adjustability.
Dual, high-definition displays feature smartphone compatibility software and INFINITI InTouch Services telematics with Wi-Fi hotspot. On applicable models, sound travels through a Bose® Performance Series 16-speaker audio system with Bose Centerpoint simulated surround that delivers a rich, balanced, and nuanced sound throughout the cabin. USB-based Android Auto™ compatibility is supported by two standard USB ports in the front (one Type-A, one Type-C), and wireless Apple CarPlay® is newly standard on all grades.
VR-series pedigree, "Very Responsive" results
The 2023 Q50 tasks its longitudinally mounted 3.0-litre VR-series twin-turbo V6 engine for motivation, offered in one of two configurations. In Q50 PURE, LUXE and Signature Edition grade sedans, the V6 delivers 300 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 295 lb-ft at 1,500-5,200 rpm. In Q50 RED SPORT I-LINE sedans, the V6 engine produces 400 maximum horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 350 lb-ft at 1,600-5,200 rpm.
Exclusive to the RED SPORT I-LINE’s engine, an extra water pump to aid in cooling and an optical turbine speed sensor is added, the latter of which allows for the twin-turbochargers to perform at up to 240,000 rpm — higher than ever before for a V6 engine.
The V6 is teamed with a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode and Downshift Rev Matching. Standard steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters on Q50 RED SPORT I-LINE offer more control for dynamic performance — if the mood strikes.
Power travels down the driveline to standard INFINITI Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive system.
Arresting the Q50 RED SPORT I-LINE’s impressive performance requires equally impressive hardware. The Q50 RED SPORT I-LINE’s uprated brakes feature four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers, which are painted red. All Q50 grades ride on a four-wheel independent suspension, with all-season run-flat tires.
