- INFINITI Q80 Inspiration and Q60 Concept share stage for first time in Toronto

MISSISSAUGA, ON. - Today, INFINITI's Executive Design Director, Alfonso Albaisa, unveiled the brand's future of design, with the INFINITI Q80 Inspiration and INFINITI Q60 Concept making their national debut at the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) in Toronto. The two concepts show the exciting performance and design direction for INFINITI, as it continues to expand its portfolio.
"In these two concept vehicles, you can see the future of INFINITI - progressive, audacious and ingenious - with a focus on the human interaction," said Albaisa. "The Q80 Inspiration represents INFINITI's vision of category-breaking, supreme luxury driving, while the Q60 Concept is the precursor to a high-performing sports coupe. Both are bold designs and have the power to excite like no INFINITI before it."
Edgy and expansive, the Q80 Inspiration's sensual interpretation of the INFINITI brand really makes a statement. It is a top-of-the-line, four-seat fastback that rises above the crowd and features a human-centric interior, bold design and an eco-friendly hybrid powertrain. The Q80 Inspiration has been designed to disrupt the premium sedan category with elegance, style and emotion.
At just over five meters long (5,052mm) and two meters wide (2,027mm), this is a full-size concept vision of a range-topping INFINITI that demands attention with its extraordinary presence. Organic forms and poetic artisan design converge with the latest composite materials, while portal-style doors invite a cocooning '4x1' seating experience with a full spectrum of leather, Alcantara and metalwork finishes. Exceptional performance is delivered from an all-new, high-performance and fuel-efficient hybrid 550hp electrified powertrain that provides a glimpse of INFINITI's future performance models.
A precursor to a premium sports coupe that will go into production in 2016, the Q60 Concept is an original and bold reinterpretation of an elegant lifestyle 2+2 coupe, building on the design language seen on recent INFINITI concept cars. It is poised to entice coupe fans with its eye-catching contours and hand-crafted interior, while at the same time suggesting performance and heart-pumping power to match. Overall proportions and full-sized wheels placed out at the corners of Q60 Concept make an unmistakable design statement and add to the exhilaration of the performance coupe.
The precise lines, sharp edges and striking dips in the body sides all come together to give the Q60 Concept a powerful road presence to match its top-notch performance. At 4,690 mm long, 1,865 mm wide and 1,370 mm high, the two-door concept is as sporty in motion as it is at rest and, with its next-generation 3.0-litre V6 engine with direct injection and twin-turbocharging, the Q60 Concept is expected to deliver exceptional performance befitting a true-blue sports car.

INFINITI also revealed the new 2015 Q50 Limited Edition sports sedan that will be available at retailers later this spring and features 19" spoke aluminum-alloy wheels and a new rear spoiler.
