Car 1 SEBASTIAN VETTEL
1st Practice P2, 2nd Practice P4

“We ran the super soft tires this morning thinking there would be rain this afternoon; in the end it didn’t come but you never know in advance. I think we had a good day; we got decent laps and even with the different approach in terms of when we ran the tires, I think we can be happy. Let’s see what we can do tomorrow. It’s a great track here, there are a lot of stop and starts, braking, chicanes and quick changes in direction but it’s good fun – it’s part of this track, there are bumps, so it’s wild and rough, but it’s fun.”

Car 2 MARK WEBBER
1st Practice P5, 2nd Practice P12

“It’s been a pretty good day. We thought there would be more mixed weather, but it didn’t come. We ran the super soft tire in the first session, which we thought was the right thing to do, but in the end it didn’t really rain in the second session. The program was a bit compromised, but we still got everything done that we needed to. We’re pretty happy with where we’re at and I’m confident in the work we did with the car, so I’m looking forward to tomorrow. There are some quick cars out there, but we’ve seen that Fridays before this year – I’m looking forward to the weekend.”

First Practice Session
Position: 5, Best Time: 1:15.897, Laps: 28

Second Practice Session
Position: 12, Best Time 1:15.907, Laps: 41

RED BULL RACING REVEALED...

Racing in Formula One is a team effort and the RB8 bears the signature of every department of Red Bull Racing, from reception to race track. But just how does each section of the factory contribute?

This week: Marketing

People think: They just hang out in the garage with invited celebs, party all night and come in late.

What they actually do: is produce everything the public and press sees of the team from press releases to livery, websites to sponsors and from factory tours to parties. The Red Bull Racing marketing department is split into two disciplines: marketing and communications. The marketing side of the operation makes sure the team’s image consistently mirrors that of parent company Red Bull. They also take care of product design (how the garage equipment looks and the look and feel of the factory). Marketing also has responsibility for hospitality for guests at the factory, Energy Station and trackside and meets the individual needs of all the Team’s commercial partners. The communications section is the team’s press office for both the race team and the Running Showcar team and program. They also maintain contact with our fans via team websites. Red Bull Racing is an important part of the global promotion of Red Bull.
